These hands of mine
were meant to
build, repair and to mend.
But unlike Midas'
all they touch
turns to dust in the end.
These hands of mine
were supposed to
heal, support and sustain.
Yet all they bring
to other souls
is suffering and pain.
These hands of mine
were made to
love, caress and to hold.
Still they push away
those close to me
as I grow lonely, bitter - cold.
These hands of mine
were meant to
nurture, care and to protect.
Unable to oblige
the tightening of the noose
shall be their final act.
